“Extreme” federal judges to “learn quickly” the results of backing Trump: Official

The Trump administration said “radical judges” would soon learn to deny “Constitutionally recognized authorities President Donald Trump, who is a significant violation of the law and will not stand on appeal.”

US District Judge Anthony Trenga, appointee of Virginia President George W. Bush, allowed agents to resign or fire and sue federal payroll ahead of the 5pm deadline issued by CIA director John Ratcliffe.

The injunction is part of a lawsuit filed by more than 12 intelligence agencies from the CIA and the Director of National Intelligence Director’s office, and was found to be involved or working in the department’s DEI program.

“Plaintiffs face dismissal without suggesting fraud or poor performance,” Trenga said after the verdict. “It is a minimal burden for the government to simply require that regulations be followed.”

Employees who suddenly took administrative leave in January faced fire as part of the Trump administration’s efforts, supported by Elon Musk, to eliminate day-related programs and launch a massive government overhaul. Musk also visited the CIA headquarters on Tuesday to discuss his government efficiency program.

“These radical judges will soon learn that the chief executives of constitutionally recognized authorities are a serious violation of the law and cannot withstand appeal,” Trump administration spokesman Harrison Fields told Fox News Digital.

“It could be a crime for Democrats to end Day’s bias and ensure that the federal government operates efficiently, but it’s in line with the law,” he said.

The 19 unnamed employees alleged in the lawsuit last month that their role in the DEI program was “temporary assignments” and that they have other responsibilities as intelligence agents. The lawsuit states that “degraded performance” was not a factor in the firing.

“The imminent termination is therefore arbitrary, whimsical, abuse of discretion,” and the suit charges.

The written order from Trenga also said the Trump administration must consider “requirements for reallocating open or available positions according to the qualifications and skills of employees.” The administration can still fire employees, but must first present a “report” regarding the employee’s appeal or reassignment to a judge.

The injunction adds to the stack of injunctions and temporary restraining orders imposed on some of President Donald Trump’s presidential executive orders.

Last month, Trump was penalised for targeting government contracts and restricting access to federal facilities, with law firm Perkins Koy representing Hillary Clinton and his DEI policies. More than 300 law professors and law groups, including the ACLU and the Cato Institute, submitted briefs in support of Perkins Coie. In February, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction blocking key provisions in President Trump’s executive order aimed at banning DEI programs on university campuses.

Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser has moved to rebate the Consumer Financial Protection Agency by lobbing at least 13 lawsuits against Trump administration policies related to the DEI, including the end of the Public Health Grant Health and Welfare Grant (HHS).
