Demonstrations against the nationwide “passed!” Trump administration’s sudden tariffs, program cuts and massive layoffs of federal workers say protesters are threatening key public services, damaging social security nets, causing prices and plunging financial markets.

In downtown Los Angeles, demonstrators say President Donald Trump will carry 20-foot balloons in the image of another 15-foot helium-filled balloon wearing diapers.

Los Angeles County Republican Speaker Roxanne Hose said such demonstrations would not affect the Trump administration.

“Are radical leftists protesting President Donald Trump with marching and parade balloons?” she told City News Service. “Their boring, predictable tantrums are part of the LA landscape, like the aging RVs and dangerous camps that their policies bring. We are interested in excellent governance and public safety, and we hope that our Democratic friends advocate both.”

Speakers expected at the city hall rally on Saturday evening include actress Jodie Sweetin and comedian franchise Fioretini.

“We’ve only been two months into Trump’s turmoil, and the country is shaking from reckless firing of millions of workers, disbanding tens of thousands of families, and funding healthcare and social security,” says organizer Emily Williams.

“It doesn’t matter what your party is. Almost everyone is harming these punishing decisions and we’re here to oppose the destruction of these programs that millions of Americans rely on every day.”

At least 100 protests and marches are planned across the region on Saturday, including events in Glendale, Riverside and Santa Ana. Organizations expected to be represented include ACLU, 50501 SoCal, Greenpeace, League of Women Moters, Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Working Family Power. Website.

Trump has yet to comment on what organizers call “a day of massive mobilization,” but the White House announced it will be scheduled one of the dates for its annual Spring Garden Tour on Saturday as a massive anti-Trump demonstration near 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is expected.

“Anyone who considers protests, litigation and law must have been President Trump sleeping under the rocks for the past few years,” White House press chief Carolyn Leavitt said in a statement to USA Today.

“President Trump will not be prevented from introducing the promises he has made to make him more efficient and responsible for the hard-working American taxpayers who have re-elected him overwhelmingly.”

The Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department say there are no special plans to deal with the protest.

Other “Hands Off!” Southland-wide rallies are scheduled to take place on Saturday.
