A week after singer Morgan Warren left the “SNL” stage early in the ending credits, causing controversy, the show didn’t ignore what happened.
During the show’s cold opening, cast member James Austin Johnson, who played President Donald Trump, who announced his sweeping tariffs at the White House, mentioned the virus controversy.
Johnson as Trump has begun riffing on the herd islands and the McDonald Islands, the deserted islands where the president places tariffs in real life.
“Suh, McDonald’s Island, I want to visit there,” Trump said. “Can you imagine that? Big Mac in a hula skirt. Ah Lala.”
Johnson, as Trump, then held up artwork depicting the scenario and said, “Take me into the Kingdom of God, right?” The comments hinted at Wallen’s Instagram post hours after the time at last week’s show.
Comments were trolled by many New Yorkers, and even the Empire State Building responded to the controversy.

Warren was also another jokey ass during the show’s “weekend update.”
“In the last two days, investors have lost more than $6 trillion,” Jost said of this week’s stock market slide. “Money leaves the stock market faster than Morgan Warren in Goodnight.”

Cast member Kenan Thompson responded to Warren’s actions earlier in the week, saying, “He thought he had to go to the bathroom or something.”
“It’s definitely the standard spike. We’re just looking back at everyone and we’re just high five and everyone is saying, ‘Good job, good job, good job, good job,'” Thompson added. So when you leave it, it’s like, “Hmm, I wonder what it is?”
On his part, Warren did not respond directly to the controversy, but began selling products on his official website under the phrase “Get Me To God Country.”
The host of the April 5 episode of “Saturday Night Live” was Jack Black, along with musical guests Brandy Caril and Elton John.
The “Rock School” star broke out with a song during his monologue, and he made his own rendition of Aerosmith’s “Back in the Saddle.” Please look:
