About the Grand Prix on the Long Beach Street Course

The rap doesn’t take long on the streets of Long Beach. The challenging street course is only 1.968 miles, with a long front straight of 11 turns, and the driver reaches around 185 mph with a burst of sound and adrenaline. The fastest sections are along the Shoreline Drive and the Start Finish Line. Grandstand fans can see what happens when the car roars in the past and the pit lane gets busy.

From there, the driver applies a hard brake to Turn 1. This is an overtaking opportunity where you can win and lose a race before the dolphin fountain section and make a turn for 2 and 3. After navigating navigations 4 and 5, the track is similar to part of Shoreline Drive.

Drivers will be set up for entry into another technical section of the track that will be installed here for running the seaside run and sweeps left to hairpin turn 11. This last section of the truck is a great place to see the driver set up for another launch on Shoreline Drive.
