Two suspects remain on a massive scale after a man was found shot dead outside a car wash in El Monte.
On April 7, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting in a parking lot in the 2300 block of Peck Road at 9:30 p.m.
The agent who arrived found the victim identified only as an adult male with a gunshot wound.
According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the victim was standing in the car park when two men approached him and asked him where he was from.
At least one suspect fired on the victim, the Tribune reported. They fled the area before authorities arrived.
The victim was later taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
No victims have been identified, but authorities told the Tribune that he lives in El Monte, in his 20s. Investigators also believed that the fatal shooting could be linked to the gang.
No further details have been released as the murder is under investigation.
Anyone with information about the incident will be asked to call LASD’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
