The House will try again this morning to work with the Senate on the framework of President Donald Trump’s tax cut bill.
Votes could come from 10am until an hour early.
Is there no alignment? There are no invoices.

Last night, more than a dozen House conservatives balked, and even blocked Republicans from voting for the blueprint.
They spoke with the House GOP leader for over an hour. House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La. I also spoke with President Trump. Some conservatives are Senate majority leader John Tune, Rs.D. and met with the Senate Committee chair.
Holdout wants more guarantees that the Senate will cut more spending than its greenlighted budget early last Saturday morning.
What unlocks today’s votes? Either the informal promises from the Senate cut more. Alternatively, the House could change its Senate package and Senate to synchronize with the House.

Another way is for the House to vote to add two steps. You send your home and Senate plans to the conference committee, and ultimately merge the resolutions into one.
Changing the bill and going to the conference committee is a tedious and time-consuming procedure. Rather than eight steps to complete the bill, it creates 10. The house is stuck in step 4.
Thune says the Senate cannot work on another update and an overnight voting series. Two versions have already been created.
This highlights the wide gap between what the House wants to tackle and what the Senate can tackle.
The House and Senate must approve the same measures at this stage to reach the bill itself. And these steps should have been easier.

This also puts Johnson’s goal of finishing the bill by Memorial Day.
It’s about mathematics: Johnson can only lose three votes. And he now has dozens of Nay north.

Furthermore, the House and Senate are not aligned. Anything that can advance in the Senate cannot pass through the home, and vice versa. It could risk the ultimate passage of the bill itself.
