A Los Angeles Superior Court judge will hear debate on whether murderers Eric and Lyle Menendez, convicted Friday, will withdraw the Lyle Menendez’s resentment movement filed by the administration of former LA district attorney George Gascon.
The current Da Nathan Hockman does not support responsiveness under the terms of Gascón’s allegations, saying the brothers do not meet the standards for rehabilitation.
“They told 20 different lies. They actually admitted to four, but 16 lies remain unapproved. They’re stuck to today’s lies,” Hockman said at a recent press conference.
Eric and Lyle Menendez are currently living in prison without the possibility of parole for the shotgun murder of their parents, Kitty and Jose Menendez in 1989.

The brothers have been behind the bar for 35 years and claim they killed their parents in self-defense after years of abuse.
Several of the brothers’ families who support their release are expected to jump in and attend a hearing at Van Nice on Friday.
“They’ve done more than they’ve ever lived from within their prison, but Hochman has been hyper-focused on one thing. “Take them home isn’t about exposing them easily. They served their time. It would give them the opportunity to be here with all of us.”
A decision by Judge Michael Jessick on Friday will determine whether the resent judge will move forward.
The Menendez brothers also have a path to freedom through California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The state’s parole board has separate hearings and will send the report to the governor.
The lawsuit will begin at 10am on Friday. The court holds a public lottery with 16 seats in the courtroom.
