President Donald Trump has removed the “dangerous red tape” from the Biden administration, and has issued a harsh warning to the moonhis, saying it’s time for them to hide, allowing our troops to protect Somalia from terrorists.
“It’s time for terrorists to hide, but it does nothing for them. The greatest fighter the world has ever seen will find them and bring them to quick justice,” Trump wrote in a post on the True Society. “We just removed Joe Biden’s dangerous red tape and once again empowered our fighters. Once again, we opposed the fight against ISIS.
“We support the Somali people. Somali people should not have Houtis embedded (they are trying to do it!), end terrorism and bring prosperity to their own country,” the president added.
Fox News Digital has reached out to the State Department on the issue and is waiting for a response.

For years, the US has supported Somali forces with airstrikes and other support against al-Shabaab extremist groups and ISIS affiliates.
Last month, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud drafted a letter to Trump providing exclusive US access to air bases and ports that rekindled tensions between the Samarian government and the breakaway region of Somaliland, the Associated Press reported.
In the letter, Somalia provided “exclusive operational management” to “strengthen American involvement in the region” for the air bases of Berbera and Berdogul, and the ports of Berbera and Bosaso.

The letter dated March 16th and was leaked to social media in the last week of March. In it, the Somali leader said, “We ensure that we ensure uninterrupted military and logistical access while preventing external competitors from establishing their presence in this important corridor.”
The letter was confirmed as a “real draft” by a senior official from the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity as he was not permitted to interview reporters.

Officials were not sure if a final letter was sent with the same offer.
One of the ports, Berbera is located in an important city in Somaliland, and its long-standing claims as an independent state have not been internationally recognized.

Somaliland, a former British guardian, declared independence from Somalia in 1991 after the collapse of the central government. It maintained its own government, security forces, currency and held elections.
