After a few days of average temperatures, sweater weather will return to Southern California, with rain potential on Friday.
“There are some cooler temperatures today. In fact, overall this week, the temperature will be cooler by the end of the weekend and even possible rain,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Monday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), strong land flows can thicken the ocean layers and cause drizzle throughout the night.
“Today, I think we’re watching the temperature a little cooler for the rest of the week for the most part of the ’60s,” Henry said.

It is also expected that rain will arrive from Thursday to Friday.
“It is expected that between Thursday night and Friday nights, a cold, high-level low-pressure system will bring showers,” the NWS said. “Thunderstorms cannot be eliminated, especially in the mountains and deserts on Friday.”
Forecasters are hoping that there is a 20% to 40% chance of showers on Friday, with a more clear chance of rain coming closer to the end of the week.
The clear skies are forecast for Easter Sunday, with higher pressures and warmer temperatures expected to return over the weekend.
Campers and concert participants heading to Coachella this weekend will experience a much different experience than those who have recently attended under triple digit temperatures.
“I’m looking forward to Coachella this weekend. Boy, that’s a completely different weekend prediction… You’ll have a break this weekend. It’ll be about 15 degrees cooler in the desert area,” Henry said.
