Starting Monday, some of the Automotive Division (DMV) offices around Southern California will open an hour in advance to help them obtain their actual ID ahead of the May 7th deadline.

Despite multiple deadline extensions over the past few years, many still need an updated ID. You will need an actual ID to fly domestically. Otherwise you will need a passport.

According to the DMV, 18 DMV locations around Southland will offer longer hours by opening early on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, April 14th to June 27th. There’s not a long time on Wednesday.

The following DMV locations offer long hours (SoCal Locations is bold):

6300 W. Las Positas Blvd Pleasanton Fremont 4287 Central Avenue Folsom 323 E. Bidwell Street, 5209 North Avenue Carmichael Suite 1810 Thousand Oaks 14920 VAN NUYS BLVD at Vano Wen St. Aleta. Glendale, 1335 W. Glennork Blvd, Pasadena, 49 S. Rosemead Blvd. 11400 W. Washington Blvd’s Culver City 13700 Hoover St. Costa Mesa 650 W. 19th St. San Clemente was 2727, 8629 HELLMAN AVE. SAN DIEGO DRIVE SAN MARCOS AT 590 RANCHEROS DRIVE ELCAJON AT 1345S AVES AVE AT 13450 GREAD AVE AT 13450 AVE.

Californians can apply for their real ID online at realid.dmv.ca.gov, but they will need to go directly to the DMV office to complete the process. Applicants must provide a valid passport or birth certificate, Social Security numbers and evidence for California residencies, such as bank statements and utility bills, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The DMV charges a $45 fee for your actual ID.

Anyone who already owns a current passport or other federally approved document can wait until his driver’s license is renewed.
