A new report by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) revealed that it was at tropical borders throughout March, less than the first two days of the month under the Biden administration in 2024.
The agency said in a post on X that the latest report revealed that it continues to “recorded numbers” for illegal intersections at the southern border.
The report said with support from the Department of Defense, the CBP “dramatically increased aggressive patrols at the border.”

“Aliens are receiving it [Trump] Administration message: If you cross the border illegally, you will be deported,” the CBP said in its latest report.
The report says that this is the second consecutive month that US border patrol averaged the lowest daily national unrest in history.

The Border Patrol arrested a total of 7,181 illegal aliens in March trying to cross the southern border between ports of entry. This constitutes a 14% decline from February, when border patrols arrested 8,346 aliens more dramatically, down 95% from the 137,473 aliens arrested in 2024 under the Biden administration.
Meanwhile, CBP’s Field Operations Office, which manages immigration enforcement at the country’s 328 ports of entry, reported that national encounters averaged around 673 in March. This is 3% lower than the 693-day average encounter in the office in February and 81% lower than 3,464 per day since March 2024.

As illegal boundary intersections continue to plummet, CBP said illicit drug attacks are on the rise.

CBP Commissioner Pete Flores said the record numbers were due to the dedicated agents of the agency.
“The uncertainty for the US Border Patrol along the southwest border throughout March 2025 was lower than the first two days of March 2024,” he said. “This is a testament to the tireless service of dedication and vigilance of the men and women of U.S. customs and border security who work every day to keep our country safe. Their commitment at the forefront plays an important role in securing our borders and protecting our American communities.”
