Los Angeles Lakers’ Girdleka Doncic has broken through the NBA list of the most popular jerseys of the 2024-25 regular season.
Doncic’s jerseys are also the top of the NBA’s sales list that has not featured the names James or Curry since the 2012-13 season, officials said.
Luka’s new teammate and NBA’s all-time goalscorer, Lebron James wasn’t close to third in the jersey sales, just behind Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
Doncic’s arrival in Los Angeles not only pushed the team to the top of the league’s merchandise list, but he was also one of the league’s most viewed players on the NBA’s digital and social platforms, with the duo leading the Lakers to the third seed in the Western Conference playoffs.
Doncic was traded for the Lakers on a shocking three-team contract that sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks.
The 25-year-old Slovenian genius is a five-time All-star who helped lead Dallas to the NBA Finals last season. The Lakers were 18-10 with Doncic wearing purple and gold.
According to the NBA, sales of jerseys on Nbastore.com rose 21% after the February 6 trade deadline. This was driven primarily by Doncic’s move from Dallas to Los Angeles.
Boston Celtics starring Jason Tatum (4) and Jalen Brown (15), and Phoenix Suns All-Stars Kevin Durant (13) and Devin Booker (14) are the only teammates featured in the top 15. They landed on 10 and 9 respectively.
Below are the top-selling NBA jerseys for the 2024-25 season.
