Millions of dollars in gold and jewels were stolen from two giant safes of Los Angeles jewelers after the robbers went through multiple enhanced walls and entered a tunnel into a Broadway shop.
The weekend intrusion security video hears a massive drill carved into the walls that look like the main castle.
Los Angeles police say the burglars have slashed through the room next to a gold dealer at 510 S. Broadway between Sunday night and Monday morning. LAPD CMDR. Lillian Carranza said the owner informed the department that the burglar had taken products worth around $5 million. In an interview with KTTV, the owner said the loss was over $20 million.
The heavily secured store is known for being the source of the sparkle of rappers, artists and several gangsters. On social media, the store has images of personal necklace tributes, gold Rolex watch straps, miniature AK-47S covered in diamonds, M-4 trinkets and giant racks of gold chains.
Investigators say they cut off security camera feeds after the robber enters to ensure that there are no images of them in their business. However, LAPD forensic experts are examining fingerprint and DNA scenes.
The jeweller discovered a huge robber on Monday morning when they arrived at the store.
Investigators believe that perhaps a high-level professional robber spent several hours in the business.
