New York Attorney General Leticia James has been denounced mortgage fraud after a shocking allegation by the Trump administration.
In a document obtained by Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice, accusing James of mortgage fraud on Tuesday.
FHFA director William Palt said in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondy that James appears to have falsified records to meet certain lending requirements and receive favorable loan terms.
Pulte cited Virginia property. James is said to have claimed that James was her main residence, and claimed New York property as a four-unit structure rather than five.

Jonathan Turley, a contributor to Fox News and law professor at George Washington University, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham that James’ irony has been accused of forging records.
“This is the person who indicted Trump other than tearing the label from the mattress, and among the charges brought in New York, the civil case was a criminal case, and made false or misleading statements to financial institutions,” Turley said. “As for James, there are very few questions here if she applies the Leticia James standard she created. This seems pretty easy.”
He explained that the Trump administration is saying this is not her main residence.

James has also been accused of telling her father that he is her husband, Tarley added.
“The Supreme Court said at the beginning of March that it wanted to know not only misleading statements, but false statements under sections like 10-14, in a case called Thompson,” Turley said. “These are misleading statements. They are either your main residence or not. You are married to your father, or he is your father.”
DOJ and James did not respond to Fox News on the issue.
The matter has been indicted in the past, but as Turley said from Ingraham’s angle, “the document itself is very awful.”

Retired NYPD Inspector and Fox News contributor Paul Mauro told Fox News Digital that he first reported allegations against James 10 weeks ago.
“The documents presented by Sam Antar and the research he did look completely authentic,” Mauro said. “In that case, it appears that Ag James is engaged in the very same fraud that he claimed in the stupid incident against Donald Trump. Now let’s see that no one is beyond the law, as Ag James stated himself.”
The New York Post reported that the property James purchased with her father had documented that in 1983 and 2000, the parties were listed as “husband and wife.”
“This was a long time ago, but it raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of James’s expressions on mortgage applications,” writes Pulte.

James filed civil fraud cases against the Trump organization and its senior leader, President Donald Trump in 2022, frequently sitting in court throughout the lawsuit, celebrating Trump’s prosecution at the Manhattan Criminal Trial over a 34-count business record.
Trump was ordered to pay a $454 million civil fraud ruling in James’ lawsuit against him. This is currently under appeal.
So far, James has led at least five legal actions against the Trump administration. This has brought on another lawsuit in relation to the Trump administration that leads a coalition of state attorneys generals to sue the federal government to halt access to the Treasury’s internal systems, and cutting grants to research institutions and universities.
