Actress Cheryl Lee Ralph will be honored Wednesday as the 2,808th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony will begin at 11:30am on 6623 Hollywood Boulevard.
According to Hollywood Walk of Fame, the actress has become a staple in the entertainment industry and has a career spanning over 40 years.
“Our walks of fame are chosen solely based on their achievements in the entertainment industry. Her incredible talent and contribution makes Cheryl Lee Ralph more than deserves this honorable recognition.”
Ralph, who is currently starring in the hit ABC/Warner Bros television comedy series “Abbott Elementary,” won the 2022 Emmy Award for the comedy series and Critics’ Choice for Best Supporting Actress in the comedy series.
Additionally, Ralph has starred, directed and produced the award-winning short film Secrets, Alfre Woodard and Robin Givens. And she is known for her award-winning work, creating the role of Deena Jones in the Broadway musical “Dream Girls.”
Off-screen, Ralph is a passionate health advocate and honors AIDS activists.
Nichelle Turner, host of the event, will be joined by guest speakers Quinta Brunson and Loretta Devine.
The ceremony will be streamed live on the Walk of Fame website.
