Michel Tratchenberg’s cause of death was finally revealed less than two months after the actress was found dead in an apartment in New York City.
According to People Magazine and NBC News, the New York City Chief Medical Inspector’s Office said the “Buffy” star died of complications from diabetes. The outlet said the way of death is listed as natural.

On February 26, the actress was found to be unconsciously unresponsive in her Manhattan apartment at 8am, police said. She was declared dead at the scene. She was 39 years old.

Trachtenberg gained fame as a child actress who appeared in commercials and television shows such as Nickelodeon’s “The Adventures of Pete & Pete” and The Soap Opera “All Children.” Her first major film role was “Harriet the Spy” in 1996.
