A pair of deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office were arrested in late March.
A media release issued by Sheriff Freihoff on Wednesday said that in the early hours of March 30, two non-workers (Anthony Maragon and Dylan Davis) were involved in what they described as an “obvious domestic incident” at Elle Ray Cantina on Ventura Boulevard, Camarillo.
“There was a clear domestic incident in which security guards intervened and then injured,” reads a media release from VCSO. “[The guard] I was treated at a local hospital. ”

The extent of the injuries that the security guard was injured has not been revealed.
After the incident, both deputies were arrested and booked on various charges. They both posted bail and were placed on administrative leave shortly after, officials said.
Davis, 33, was charged with using misdemeanor batteries, batteries that cause serious injuries and forces that could cause serious injuries to her spouse and pose a crime threat. His next court date is May 28, according to inmate search records.
Maragon, 27, has been charged with a battery using force that could cause serious injuries and cause serious damage. The inmate’s search records show that his next court date is also May 28th.

The investigation is handled by the Sheriff’s main Crime Bureau, and Sheriff Freihoff said the investigation will reveal “all relevant facts” related to the incident.
“I want to assure the public and our community that the sheriff’s office takes this issue very seriously,” Sheriff Freihoff said. “We maintain agents at the highest standards of conduct. Violations of these standards are addressed appropriately without hesitation as they are both expected and deserved by our community and our agents.”
The VCSO Interior Bureau will also conduct separate parallel investigations into the issue to determine whether a departmental or procedural violation has occurred.
