The court “required that the government “promotes” the release of Abrego Garcia from custody in El Salvador and that his case be processed if he was not inappropriately sent to El Salvador.”
The Trump administration agreed to clear the administrative obstacles that would prevent Abrego Garcia from returning to the United States, but Attorney General Pam Bondy said that returning him was “until El Salvador, if they want to return him.”

“We can have a Maryland senator, and even acknowledge or barely admit the brutal death she endured, leaving us with five children without a mother, a grandmother without a grandmother, and even American citizens to return my taxpayer money to fly to El Salvador.

The DHS defeated Van Hollen by advocating for the release of Abrego Garcia, and the senator “did more to bring MS-13 gang members, traffickers and illegal aliens back to Maryland, rather than helping to keep these vicious gang victims like the MS-13 safe.”
“Senator Van Hollen and the mainstream media have been talking sobs about members of the brutal MS-13 gang, while Chief Norm is standing with victims of illegal foreign crimes,” DHS said. “We’ve heard so much about sob stories of gang members and criminals, and we’re not enough about the victims.”
