The Los Angeles Rams honor first responders at their unique draft day home.
The team will make their choices from Vannuys’ Los Angeles Fire Department aviation operations base to honor the first responders who fought the deadly wildfires of January.
“The drafting from the LAFD Aviation Business is a powerful reminder of what it means to represent Los Angeles,” said Kevin Demov, president of the Los Angeles Rams. “As wildfires devastated our area in January, we are trying to unite LA to help with recovery efforts, raise the spirits of those affected and shed light on our first responders. We are humbled to partner with LAFD in one of the NFL’s biggest moments to express our gratitude to those who risk their lives every day to protect our cities.”
LAFD Aviation Operations will continue to be fully operational during the event.
The team released a video posted on the Rams social media platform, where Coach Shawn McVay and general manager Les Snado arrived at the San Fernando Valley fire station. The team will work with Zillow to renovate the recreation room for the LAFD Aviation business, making it a more comfortable place for firefighters to rest during callouts during 24-hour shifts.
The first night of the NFL Draft is April 24th. On the second morning of the draft, the Rams welcome first responders from across the area who helped stop the devastating fire.
“We are extremely grateful to the Los Angeles Rams for their unwavering support from the city of Los Angeles Fire Department and the community that affected our wildfires,” said interim firefighter Ronnieva. “The NFL Draft hosts in LAFD Aviation Operations highlight the key role air operations play in protecting Los Angeles, particularly during wildfire season. The Rams generosity envisages renovating our stations, recognizing firefighters, and all of us serve.
The Rams have the overall pick, 26th in the first round. There are a total of eight picks, including rounds 3, 4, and 6 choices.
All three days of the 2025 NFL Draft will air on the NFL Network, ABC, ESPN, and ESPN Deportes. This includes two nights of prime time coverage on April 24th and 25th.
