Reggie Bush is a college football legend and Super Bowl champion.
Just last year he is famous for receiving his Heisman Trophy after having had to confiscate it 14 years ago. He received the honors in 2005 when he played under coach Pete Carroll at USC. In 2010, he was forced to confiscate the trophy because he said he had received “inappropriate benefits” like gorgeous gifts and cash.
Twenty years after his achievement, Bush said it was “surprising” to bring the trophy back to him.
“When I got the trophy back, it was the first time my kids actually saw it. So that was the best part for me and I was able to show it to my kids for the first time, never seen it with my wife and family. “That was the best part for me.”
The former New Orleans saint said he was happy that Heissman’s trust “doed the right thing” and is now looking for a future athlete. He touched on the importance of trading names, images and likenesses of university athletes.

“College football and basketball, that’s a big money business, right? And they’re making a lot of money from these players. So these players deserve a part of the pie,” he explained. “Nir is there for them now.”

But two nationals revealed that it was “not a correction.”
“The next step is that they’re paid as employees from the university, and from there they have to combine the unions they need to do so that they can negotiate all those different things together,” he continued.

The NIL changed college sports, as did the transfer portal. This allows university athletes to move to another school. Critics of this combination claim it breeds athletes’ infidelity.
However, Bush’s main focus is on the players.
“I’m on the fence because I love the fact that players are bringing more power home. They have more control over their careers. One of the problems was that the head college football coaches could be fired or resigned and hired the next day in the area I played,” he said. “At that point, did you have to sit down for the entire season? For football players and basketball players, missing a year is tough on your career. It’s hard to come back from a lot of people. When we were at USC, we promoted us, and that’s what I’m proud of.

Still an athlete, Bush is focused on his golf game. He has teamed up with performance apparel brand Travismathew to release a new stylish collection.
“I’ve always wanted to design my own clothes lines, but I have a deep-rooted passion for golf. It was my passion for life after soccer. It’s something I love to wake up from bed and play golf and work on the game. “The opportunity to design my clothes at Travismathew was an amazing opportunity. It’s organic. They have a deep, ingrained passion and love for golf. And when we sit down, I want to create ideas for what they should look like, how they should be structured and really create ideas for my clothes lines.”
The California native revealed that there are some “big projects” in which he comes down the pipeline, and he’s “very excited.”
The Reggie Bush Collection will be available in stores and online on April 21st. To shop, you can visit travismathew.com or visit a nearby travismathew store.
