The woman, who is allegedly expensive in marijuana, was arrested after a fatal collision at a busy intersection on Riverside on Saturday.
Riverside police responded to a collision near the university and Park Avenue around 10:31am.
The suspect, a 24-year-old Toyota Camry woman, was driving west on University Avenue when she crashed into a Nissan Titan pickup truck heading south on Park Avenue, police said.
The truck driver was killed by shock. He was identified only as a 60-year-old riverside man. The 24-year-old woman was not injured.
Authorities arrived at the scene for an investigation, and drug recognition experts determined that the woman was driving under the influence of cannabis.
She was arrested on rough vehicle manslaughter while booking drunk at Robert Presley’s detention center
No details have been released including the names of the suspects and victims.
