Police are looking for two robbers who say they attacked by pepper spraying while breaking into a home in Viva League Robe.
The robbery happened around 11:30pm on Friday when a burglar raised an alarm while the homeowner was in the bedroom.
Police said the two robbers were scattered and attacked the man before taking off along with valuables.
Neighbors in the area say they were deeply disturbed to learn about the home invasion.
“We need to ride in the city, and maybe we’ll patrol the city a little more. We pay taxes. We want to be safe. This isn’t safe at all,” said Apollo, who lives in the area.
A few minutes later, about nine miles away, the family met the robber at their Sherman Oaks home. According to the LAPD, the married couple and their toddlers were barricaded in the room when the burglars looted the house.
“No one wants it to happen to them, and no one wants this to happen in their neighborhood,” said Tabis Loafman, a Sherman Oaks resident.
Police are still investigating the invasion of two homes. At this point it is unknown whether they are connected to each other.
