Democrat National Committee (DNC) vice-chairman David Hogg recently gave the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) $100,000 shortly after a plan to shake up Democrats with party insiders that anger new leaders.
The news, first reported by Politico and Axios, was confirmed by Hogg in an X post on Friday, claiming that he “is not playing Nice” by handing a six-figure donation to DCCC.
“This isn’t a good play for me. It shows my commitment to getting home back and having Hakeem Jeffries as a speaker. This is absolutely essential,” Hogg wrote in the post.
“But we need a better Democrat and we need to drive Democrats away in safe seats that don’t understand what’s on the brink right now.

The 25-year-old activist added that the path to advance “needs us to do both.”
“We can never wait for people to retire in their own leisure time, sit there, or do nothing while the country is burning,” Hogg concluded.
Hogg originally announced that the leader we deserve in his organization planned to devote $20 million to selecting a young primary candidate for older incumbents. Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivors predicted that “some incumbents will rise up to the challenge and become stronger” due to the initiative.

“Other people will show why they should replace it,” he said. “In any case, we all win. We all want to get home back, especially when we’re not challenging the incumbent on the frontline Democrats.”
The initiative was blown up by veteran strategist James Kerrville.
“He’s an officer on the Democratic National Committee… so he has fiduciary duties to the Democrats, and he’s going to bring in $20 million and primary Democrats?” asked Kerrville.
“Does he really think that the problem we face in the US today is because of a 65-year-old Democrat taking office? Why don’t you take on Republicans? That’s your job,” he continued.
