Former Department of Defense aide warns about “meltdowns” under Hegses’ leadership

A recently departed Top Pentagon aide ran through President Donald Trump to remove Secretary of Defense Pete Hegses from his cabinet, explaining “complete confusion” and “dysfunctional” within the brass above the military.

“Dysfunction is a huge distraction for the president right now. He deserves better from a senior leader,” wrote John Urito, a former Pentagon communications officer, in Politico’s OP-ED, which was released Sunday.

“Trump has a strong record to explain his top staff, and given that, it’s hard to see Defense Secretary Pete Hegses remain in his role for a long time.”

Urit left the Pentagon’s public relations office last week. Because he didn’t want to be deputy commander of the chief spokesman Sean Parnell.

Axed Pentagon Aides claimed their characters were “demeaning” and a bit more details were shared about the leak investigation

On Friday, the Pentagon fired three Aides Hegzes – Dan Caldwell, Colin Carroll and Darrin Sernick are three of the three secretaries’ “most loyal” advisors. He called the purge “strange” and “baffle.”

Following them, the door is the chief of staff Joe Casper, who is frequently opposed, with three defense personnel confirmed to Fox News Digital.

“In short, the building is in turmoil under Hegses’ leadership.”

He called himself a “strong supporter” of Heggs, but admitted that “last month was a full-scale meltdown at the Pentagon and has become a real problem for the administration.”

The shakeup came when the report was broken for the second signal chat. It is said that Hegses discussed plans to launch the Houssis in Yemen.

The chat reportedly discussed the flight schedule for the F/A-18 Hornets, which targets Yemen’s Houtis. This is similar to what national security adviser Mike Waltz unintentionally shared in a Trump Cabinet member chat with Atlantic Editor Jeffrey Goldberg.

“Another day, another old story,” Parnell said in a statement after the latest Signal Chat report. “No information was categorized into any signal chat, regardless of how you write a story.”

“Unfortunately, after a horrifying month, the focus of the Pentagon is no longer on combat, but on endless drama,” writes Ullyot.

“The president is better than the current Michegos of the Pentagon. Given his record of holding previous cabinet leaders accountable, many of the inside circles of secretaries would quietly praise him if Trump chose to do the same thing in a short order at the top of the defense department.”

Trump’s allies left Uris on social media after the OP-ED was released.

“This guy is not America’s first,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote to X.

“If you reflect the points of the Democrats, you no longer support President Trump or his administration. There’s no grey territory here,” added Trump adviser Jason Miller.

Meanwhile, the White House is “standing strong” behind Hegses, spokesman Carolyn Leavitt told Fox News on Monday.

“The president stands strong behind Secretary Hegses, who is doing the incredible work leading the Pentagon,” she said. This is what happens when the entire Pentagon works against you and is opposed to the monumental change you are trying to implement. ”

Hegseth also brushed off Signal Chat’s report on Monday, denounced “disgruntled employees” and “anonymous smears.”

“This is why we’re fighting fake news media,” he said as he pushed a chat from a reporter on the Easter Egg Roll in the White House. “This group here is full of hoaxes.”
