Deputies for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office arrested the convicted felon after being identified as a suspect in a liquor store robbery.
The robbery was reported at Royal Liquor, 15689 Bear Valley Road, Hesperia, around 8am Sunday, according to the SBSD release.
On arrival, lawmakers learn from the store clerk that the suspect, later identified as Davon Burson, pointed a gun at them, demanded money, and threatened to harm them if they did not comply.
After committing a threat, Burson stole $100 and escaped from the scene.

Lawmakers immediately began an investigation, identifying 21-year-old Burson as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The vehicle Burson was driving in a private location shortly after midnight Monday, and when a traffic stop was conducted to actively identify Burson, deputies took him into custody.
A search warrant was issued at Burson’s Victorville Home, with several firearms appearing, including short barrel rifles, submachine guns, 9mm magazines and various ammunition.

“Burson is a felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition,” SBSD said.
The 21-year-old was arrested and booked in a high desert detention center for robbery, and became a felon with possession of a firearm and possession of a short barrel rifle, possession of a large capacity magazine, and possession of ammunition and machine guns.

Search records for inmates show that Burson is held on $1.1 million bail.
His first court date is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Victorville Superior Court.
