British Airways flight attendants were found dead in a hotel room in San Francisco on a layover last week, authorities confirmed with multiple media outlets.
According to an Independent report, the “popular” flight attendant was unable to compete in the crew’s return flight to London’s Heathrow Airport 48 hours later in SF.
Other crew members on the flight reportedly were too distraught to continue, and the flight was cancelled.
“The flight from San Francisco couldn’t go any further. The staff was absolute for the sudden loss of a friend,” said a source cited in another report between the Sun.
Before the crew died, the pilot left the hotel for San Francisco International Airport. The cabin crew and in-flight manager reportedly waited for him at the hotel reception.
When he did not appear, they went up to his room and discovered that he had passed away. According to the Independent, he believes his body is lying in a room that has not been found for two days.
“Our thoughts and saddened dol’s views are with my colleagues’ family and friends during this difficult time,” British Airways said in an independent statement.
There were no immediate words on why the flight attendant caused the death.
