President Trump condemns courts that block his deportation agenda

Speaking at the White House on Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump blasted the court in the way of his administration’s immigration agenda, deporting “some very bad people,” including “very bad people,” including “murderers, murderers, drug dealers.”

The president touted the administration’s progress in closing borders and cracking down on illegal immigration, saying, “To be honest, it’s one of the great successes. Virtually no one comes into law.”

However, he noted that certain rulings against his deportation pose a threat to his efforts to secure the country.

“We hope to get help from the courts because we have thousands of people ready to go out and we can’t get trial for all of these people,” he said. “It didn’t make sense – the system didn’t make sense – and we don’t think there’s anything to say that.”

Since Trump returned to his elliptical office in January, his administration has faced hundreds of lawsuits targeting his executive orders and actions, some of which have led to national injunctions.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the lawsuit on May 15th over three federal judges who issued separate national injunctions blocking executive orders by Trump, which ends birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants.

On March 15, US District Judge James Boasberg announced a ruling that the Trump administration would use alien enemy law to temporarily block members of criminally illegal alien gangs to El Salvador.

Trump said a court ruling slowing down his deportation agenda could lead to a “very dangerous country.”

“We’ve had hundreds of thousands of people coming under Biden a month, they came from prisons. They came from mental institutions. They came from gangs from other countries around the world. They were emptying prisons not only in South America, but in America. They said,” he said.

“We won the election based on the fact that we put them out,” he continued. “We can put them out and the judge can say, ‘No, you need to go to trial’… It takes two years to trial.

Trump also said it’s up to China to tackle his administration’s ongoing trade war with China and make the trade a job.

“In the end, they have to trade because otherwise they can’t trade in the US,” he said. “And we want to get involved with them, but they have to, other countries have to trade, and if they don’t, we set up a transaction because we’re setting up a transaction.”

Chinese National President Xi Jinping will adjust his jacket to sing the national anthem at the closing session of the National People’s Assembly held at the Beijing convention on Monday, March 11, 2024.

The president predicts that the current 145% tariffs on China will be much lower, no matter what deal it ultimately reaches, but he said that it is “not zero.”

“We were previously zero. We were just destroyed. China had us on board, but that wouldn’t happen,” he said. “We’re going to be very good for China. I have a great relationship with President XI. But they make billions, billions of dollars a year, build an army on what they’ve made, and that’s not going to happen.”

“But they’re going to do very well,” he continued. “And I think they’ll be happy and I think we’re going to live together very happy and ideally, so I think it’ll work very well.”

Between Q and Trump, he has raised rumours that he will fire Jerome Powell from his role as chairman of the US Federal Reserve over differences of opinion over interest rate cuts.

In response to questions about whether he intended to fire Powell, Trump replied, “I did nothing at all, I never did.”

“The press is running away with things. No, I’m not going to fire him,” Trump said.

“I hope he’s a little more aggressive in terms of his idea of lowering interest rates,” he says, “This is the best time to lower interest rates. Otherwise, is it the end? No, it’s not, but it’s a good time.
