The first RICO assault charges against members and peers of immigrant terrorist group Tren de Aragua were filed in New York this week.
A statement from the US Lawyer’s Office for the Southern District of New York said the case is part of “Operation Takeback America.” It said it is a national initiative to repel illegal immigration violations and to organize the Department of Justice’s complete resources to achieve the complete exclusion of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs).
The alleged accusations filed against 27 current and former Tren de Aragua (TDA) people include human smuggling, sex trafficking and murder, according to the statement.
“Today, we committed murder and shooting against 27 members, former members of Tren de Aragua, forcing young women trafficked from Venezuela into commercial sex work, robbing and coercing small businesses, selling ‘tasi’ and selling pink powdered medicines.

Podolsky said the indictment “makes clear that this office will make tireless efforts to keep residents safe in compliance with New York City laws and to hold those who commit violence in our city accountable.”
The charges were filed in two separate indictments. The first accusations were filed against 21 members and associates against the current six members of Tren de Aragua, two of former TDA members, known as “anti-tren,” known as “anti-tren,” and 21 members and associates.
The Trump State Department has designated Tren de Aragua and several other immigrant gangs across the United States as foreign terrorist organizations.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said 21 of the 27 gang members and peers are currently in federal custody. The statement said 16 people have already acquired federal criminal, immigrant or state custody, and five have been arrested in the past few days.

Fees include assault, sex trafficking, alien imports, drug trafficking, carjacking conspiracy, robbery, illegal firearm possession, use and fear tor.

Among the most terrible charges included in the indictment are the smuggling of “marida” (an elderly sex worker from Venezuela to Peru and the United States), according to a statement from the US Attorney General’s office. Both TDA and anti-Tren are trapped in a life of sex slavery by threatening to kill them, by attempting to kill them, by threatening to kill them, by threatening to kill them.
Commenting on the RICO charges, Attorney General Pam Bondi said, “Today’s indictments and arrests span three states and destroys the TDA’s infrastructure as they work to completely dismantle and cleanse this organization from our country.”

“Tren de Aragua is not just a street gang,” Bondy said. “It’s a highly structured terrorist organization that has destroyed American families with brutal violence, engaged in human trafficking, and spread deadly drugs through our communities.”
New York Police Chief Jessica Tish said, “For the first time, TDA has been appointed and charged as a criminal enterprise.”

“This gang has zero respect for New Yorkers’ safety,” Tish said. “As allegedly in the indictment, these defendants have wreaked havoc in our community, trafficking women for sexual exploitation, flooding the streets with drugs, and committing violent crimes with illegal guns.
A statement from the U.S. Lawyer’s Office also said the case received great support from the Joint Task Force Vulcan, a collection of US lawyers’ offices and law enforcement agencies, which was established in 2019 to eradicate Salvadora’s gangster MS-13 and is now expanding to target Tren de Aragua.
