A man allegedly attempting to meet a child for sexual activity in San Bernardino County has been arrested.
The suspect, Misael Miranda Chavez, 46, of Eastvale, has been arrested for a secret online business at Sheriff Rancho Cucamonga station.
On April 17th, a secret agent posted a post on the Kik social media app, pretending to be a 13-year-old boy.
Chavez responded to the post and began chatting with people he believed was a young child, authorities said.
Under the username “Chinoca21”, he continued to communicate with the boy outside the app. He is said to have since agreed to meet in person with the child to engage in sexual acts.
Following the investigation, Chavez was arrested for contacting a minor for indecent purposes. He was later released from custody on $100,000 bail.
