Mobile phones, wallets, viking horns: Uber shares indexes left behind in 2025 lost and discovered

From mannequin heads to 175 burger sliders, Uber riders left a wide range of oddities in 2024.

The annual snapshot details the most commonly forgotten items left on rides and unique items, such as Viking drinking horns, live turtles and even Ozempics.

“Before Wayward Mannequin headed for Live Lobster, Uber riders left behind some truly unforgettable items this year,” Camiel Irving, vice president and general manager of mobility operations for the US and Canada, said in a statement. Whether essential or completely unusual, we understand how important it is to be reunited with your lost possessions. The Uber Lost & Found Index celebrates the most unique and commonly forgotten items, but reminds Riders that getting support in getting their valuable possessions is easy through the Uber app.

Mobile phones, wallets and keys once again top the list of the most forgotten items, but red appeared as the most lost colour, leaving over 8,000 red items.

The 10 Most Commonly Forgotten Items:

Phone Wallet Key Luggage Headphone Glasses Clothing Passport Steam Swimming Bottle

Ghostbusters’ ghost traps, urinals, breast milk and 10 live lobsters were one of the top 50 unique items left after the ride.

Luxuries and legal items such as divorce papers, court summons, Gold Rolex, Dior Slide, and Don Giulio 1942 Tequila were also frequently left behind.

New York City was named the most memorable city, followed by Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington, DC, the most memorable day was October 26th.

New York, New York, Chicago, Florida, Los Angeles, Illinois, Washington, California, San Francisco, DC, Boston, California, Newark, Massachusetts, Dallas, Texas

Other notable trends include:

Last year, over 70 Nintendo Switches were left.

Over 1.7 million Android and iPhone phones remained on Uber. Apple was dominated as the most frequently forgotten brand.

Items like yoga mats, pilates socks and vitamin supplements were often left behind.

Disney fans often leave behind their most precious park items, such as Minnie’s ears and Simba stuffed toys.

People also left food, including a five-gallon bucket of beans, 100 wings, crab legs, and 108 eggs.

According to the report, items that peak on certain days have been lost.

People will most likely forget their gloves on Monday, people will most likely forget their jacket on Tuesday, people will most likely forget their medicine on Wednesday, people will most likely forget their umbrella on Thursday, people will most likely forget their cowboy hat on Saturday

Regardless of what’s lost, Uber reminds riders that they can report misplaced items to drivers via the Uber app.
