Democrat Oregon Sen. Jeff Markley warned President Donald Trump in comments from the annual White House Correspondents Association dinner over the weekend that his massive deportation efforts “will not end well” for him.
Markley’s warning comes after being asked about Trump’s deportation policy and the Democratic efforts to challenge them, particularly their decision to visit El Salvador’s Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a member of the Venezuelan gang.
Democrats say Abrego Garcia is not a gang member despite Abrego Garcia claims he is, and that Abrego Garcia was mistakenly deported to the president’s drastic decision.

“I know the due process sounds very academic, but it’s basically what keeps the government from cleaning you or me on the streets,” Markley said when he asked what he thought of Democrat Abrego Garcia’s defense. “[Due process] It is very important to freedom. ”
“I want President Trump to understand that this is free and what he’s doing is undermining it,” continued Markley. “It won’t end well for him as our nation is trying to respond. We’re going to defend our constitution and freedom.”
Meanwhile, the White House accused Merkley and other Democrats of choosing to die on the hill, defending documented criminals who illegally lived in the United States.

“If Democrats are demanding the return of violent, illegal aliens, wives, foreign terrorists, we are happy to dig that grave for them,” White House spokesman Kush Desai told Fox News Digital in response to Merckley’s comments.

In addition to Abrego Garcia’s deportation of Trump, Democrats are also armed over the president’s decision to withdraw US student visas and non-citizen university students abroad, allegedly involved in anti-Israel organisation, some arguing for anti-Semitic protests on university campuses.
The Trump administration cites federal laws that allow immigration enforcement against visa holders, and is seen as a national security threat.

On Monday, Trump also signed an executive order aimed at rescising policies in local sanctuary cities that would prevent local law enforcement from working with federal immigration authorities.
The new order is attempting to hold federal funds hostage, allowing the Department of Justice to pursue “all necessary legal remedies and enforcement measures” to return non-compliant jurisdictions to compliance with the new order.
