Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering another man on suspicion of robbery in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles police said.
Officers answered an emergency call in the 22,200 block of Dela Osa Street before 1am Saturday, finding 47-year-old Aleksandre Modebadze with a head injury.
Modebadze was declared dead at the scene, police said.
According to a statement issued by LAPD, the murder detective later determined that the attacker entered Modevaze’s house, attacked him, took him prisoner and stole his property.
Later Saturday, officials arrested three men suspected of being involved. Paata Kochyashvili, 38. According to a police statement, Zaza Otarashvili, 46 and 52. Each of them was booked on suspicion of murder and held in lieu of $2 million bail, prison records show.
Kochashvili was taken into custody at Sepulveda and Burbank Boulevard in Los Angeles, with two other suspects in Glendale. According to FBI Media Coordinator Laura Eimiller, the FBI Fugitive Task Force arrested LAPD.
The man could not be contacted for comments and it was unclear whether any of them had an attorney.
Modebadze lived in a two-storey house across from primary school in Woodland Hills. On Monday, a bowl of silver dogs sat in the home garden. Blinds were drawn, and yellow police tape remained tied around a nearby tree.
Local residents who refused to name it said it was common to park outside their residence and see groups of young people coming and going. According to residents, loud music was also performed on several nights.
Some neighbors recall seeing Maudvade walking one or two Doberman Pinscher dogs in the area.
