USC’s men’s basketball commit, put in a medically induced coma after crashing his cybertruck last week, has recovered enough to be released from hospital.
Alija Arenas, son of former NBA star Gilbert Arenas, will be discharged “quickly” by co-hosts on Elder Arena’s podcast Gil’s Arena.
Aliya Arena was placed in a coma after the crash of Cybertruck last week, during which he inhaled the smoke.
His vehicle hit a fire hydrant and a tree, and onlookers pulled him out of the vehicle.
But aside the inhalation of smoke, the arena was relatively successful with crashing, and he was not suffered from any serious physical injuries. Now he’s “doing much better,” said co-host Jo Johnson.
“I don’t know if everything is religious or not, but we’ve all been sending prayers over the last few days,” Johnson added. “I am grateful to everyone who sent prayers to Gill and his family, so we want to continue sending them.”
The Arena is a Blue Chip recruit that is expected to have a major impact on the Trojans this fall.
