Honda Center in Anaheim has won a $1 billion facelift.
OC Sports & Entertainment, an affiliate marketing company responsible for operating the city-owned arena, announced the launch of the Honda Center Encore on Tuesday.
The Samuelli family, the longtime owners of Anaheim ducks, will be at the forefront of the project.
The renovations began last fall and are expected to be carried out by the end of 2027. The Honda Center will remain open throughout the renovation process.

“This is more than just an investment in venues, it’s the future of Anaheim and Orange County as a global destination,” Bill Foltz, CEO of OC Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement. “Honda Center’s Encore reflects our commitment to providing a world-class experience for every guest and every visit.
The key features of conversion are:
A new five-storey south entrance with a spectacular arrival experience and future plans for future digital displays to host outdoor viewing parties and special community moments. A new escalator to improve vertical circulation and enhance guest flow throughout the arena. A complete refreshment of all food and drink spaces, including the introduction of 10 brand new concepts and innovative self-service technology to increase speed and convenience for guests throughout the arena. The new, inclusive club at the club level will provide luxury guests with an upscale, hospitality-focused experience, offering curated food and drinks, and an unparalleled view of the action. The debut of the new opera box suite in the main concourse and the complete renovation of all 68 existing luxury suites provided a premium, high-modern experience. Three new parking garages with over 6,000 food stalls in total. Four new Entry Plazas, each with a distinct social aesthetic.
Parking will increase by nearly 60% for projects that include two new general parking garages, scheduled to open in October 2025. These implement the first comprehensive parking model for US arenas, eliminating the need for paths and providing a streamlined entry process.
The Honda Center Encore is part of a broader vision associated with Ocvibe, a $4 billion mixed-use district developed around the arena. The 100-acre project is designed to establish Orange County as a cultural and entertainment hub with dining, nightlife, park space and immersive experiences.
Since opening in 1993, Honda Center has hosted over 4,500 events and has welcomed over 45 million guests. The arena is also home to the ducks in Anaheim.
