Residents are in the upper hand as police seem to have mostly lead in search of a murder suspect who left a man in a nearby apartment in a valley village over the weekend.
The victim, identified as 54-year-old Menache Hydra, was found dead on the floor of his apartment on Saturday during a welfare check at Ashton Sherman Village Apartment in the 12600 block of Riverside Drive.
Investigators at the Los Angeles Police Department have not stated how Hydra was killed or whether other crimes are related to his death.
Nor was there an account of suspects who remained in loose states, armed and considered dangerous.

Detectives told KTLA’s Carlos Herrera that the disappearance of the suspect was “very worried.”
Some residents complain about the lack of security in their apartment buildings, but are still unsure after being told to be vigilant as the investigation continues.
Some residents also told KTLA they called police about homeless people living on roofs, believing the murderer was probably temporary.
Police have not checked the information.
