A crash crash on Tuesday morning has littered millions of dimes across the Wise County highways in Texas, closing the southbound lanes of US 287 for most of the day.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the driver of the dime, covered by an 18-wheeler build, was overcorrected and capsized near Alvaud High School, after 5:30am.
The driver and passengers were taken to the medical city of Decatur to treat life-threatening injuries.
The DPS trooper told Wise County Messenger that there were 8 million dimes in the truck.

I watched the NBC Dallas Fort Worth Helicopter Texas Skyranger fly through the area and use a vacuum to suck out loose changes from the muddy ditch.
Street sweepers were also used to collect new glossy dimes on the road. The Texas DPS said about $80,000 worth of dimes have been found on the highway.
As the coin collection continues, the roads remain closed. There is no estimate of when roads will resume.
