Media reports have seen arrests at the highly popular Coachella Music Festival and the subsequent country music festival stage cocks, along with a double-digit percentage increase in arrests.
According to the Indio Police Department, 223 arrests were made at Coachella, which will be held twice in a row over the weekends of April 11-13 and 18-20 this year.
The festival’s arrests, which have the capacity of 125,000 people a day, were due to drug and alcohol addiction, possession of illegal drugs, property crimes, including theft, and false identification.
In total, arrests have increased by 16.5% from 193 arrests in 2024, Daily Breeze reported.
