David Hogg faces the challenge of vice-chairman as Democratic tensions escalate

The Native American lawyer is challenging David Hogg’s vice-chairman on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) amidst the party tensions that have been announced to have a $20 million investment through a 25-year-old activist political action group.

“We believe that the election of DNC officers has been fairly and transparent in line with the rules approved by DNC membership prior to the election, but the party offers the opportunity for candidates or members to raise further discussion concerns,” a DNC spokesman told Fox News Digital.

The DNC Qualifications Committee will effectively meet on May 12th to consider the challenge of long-time Democratic activist Kalyn Free. This, according to familiar sources, made a decision made before Hogg’s plan.

Free filed a complaint following the DNC’s February 1st officer election. In this election, Hogg, Malcolm Kenyatta and Artie Blanco secured the positions of vice-chairmen. During the executive elections earlier this year, DNC was filed for free on a complaint that “discriminate against three women in the colour candidate.” The news was first reported by Semafor.

Democrat vice-chairman wins the ultimate: stay neutral in primary or resign from party leadership

Hogg won the position of Vice-Chair with 214.5 votes, while Kenyetta received 298 votes. According to the network pool producers of Leadership Elections, 205 votes were needed to win. Free protected 96. Jeanna Repass had only 112 votes and Shasti Conrad had only 91.5 votes.

Democrat vice-chairman ignites civil war and targets incumbents “sleeping on the wheels” in primary elections

“This is about fairness, making sure that the three women and members of the DNC are not disenfranchised. I have been fighting for Democrat fairness for the rest of my life. I need to expect more this time. I need to fix this flawed election. In a Fox News digital statement.

Emphasizing that the election results are not approaching Fox News Digital, a source familiar with Fox News Digital has shut down Free’s allegations. However, Free has accused the DNC of “a fatally flawed election that violated the DNC Charter” in her complaints, and has requested “two new vice-chairman elections,” confirmed Free.

“By aggregating votes across the votes and inability to distinguish between gender categories in a meaningful way, the DNC process violates its own charter and bylaws, undermining both fairness and gender diversity,” Free wrote.

The free complaint was filed before Hogg made headlines this month for his brutal plan against a major incumbent Democrat in the Deep Blue district, but Fallout is the latest blow to a young Democrat leader. Hogg has pledged to donate $20 million through his political action committee. His Political Action Committee, the leader we deserves, is to primary challenge some older Democrats in the Blue District.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin will speak after winning the vote at the Democratic National Committee’s Winter Meeting held at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland on February 1, 2025.

DNC Chairman Ken Martin last week confirmed that the DNC will remain neutral in the primary election within the party, giving Hogg the ultimate to either retract his vice-chair position or abandon his political influence through his PAC.

“DNC officers should not try to influence the outcome of the primary election on behalf of incumbents or challengers,” Martin said last week, “If you want to challenge an incumbent, you want to be free to challenge it, but not as a DNC officer, but our job cannot be a neutral arbitrator.

Following Hogg’s major fallout, Martin has announced new investments in state parties and an enhanced neutral pledge to DNC officials.

The proposal, which calls for DNC officials to pledge neutrality in the primary, is expected to be voted by the party’s Rules and Bylaws Committee next month. If the panel approves the proposal, the full DNC membership will have the final vote at the party’s annual summer meeting in August.

Hogg responded to social media news later that day, saying DNC said, “I’m trying to change the rules because I’m not breaking the rules right now. We’re seeing law firms, tech companies and a lot of other people succumbing to Trump, so we all have to use the power we need to fight back.”

“In this moment we need to demand that Trump have the strongest opposition parties to stop people’s retirement savings, plunge people into oblivion and provide a true Republican alternative for voters we don’t have now,” Hogg added.

The Hogg move comes when Democrats no longer agree on how to respond to President Donald Trump, the first 100 days before the White House. In an interview with CNN last week, longtime Democratic strategist James Kerrville tore Hogged for challenging people within his own party when he could invest those same funds to “ride a Republican.”

“The crazy thing I’ve heard is that the Democrat National Committee vice-chairman spends $20 million running on other Democrats. Isn’t it supposed to run against Republicans?” asked Kerrville.

Hogg did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.
