Deep ocean layers and land flows promise to maintain below average temperatures on Thursday, but the Storm System is preparing to pose a shower threat to the area this weekend.
“Overall, we all will all settle for a really good day,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Thursday. “We have a bit of a weaker turbulence to the north, and at least we can brush the mountains and hills, and we actually get to today’s pop-up shower.”
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), all activities are expected to remain even more inland.
“The occasional new threat of showers will create even cooler temperatures over the weekend,” the NWS said in its forecast discussion on Thursday.

Sunday’s storm appears to be more organized than today, Henry said. “We were able to see the thunderstorms as we are talking about the potential for a wider shower.”
Overall, the system is expected to “have more inconveniences on Sunday than anything else,” Henry said.
The NWS states that rainfall rates and totals are expected to be on the low, influential aspect.
