The Hollywood Walk of Fame star is scheduled to be announced Thursday, celebrating the punk rock band’s Green Day.
The three-man band consisting of vocalist Billy Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dillund and drummer Tre Cour will earn the 2,810th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“From Broken Dream Boulevard to Hollywood Boulevard,” he wrote the trio in an announcement on Instagram.
The ceremony will begin at 11:30am and will be streamed live with guest speakers Serena Williams and Ryan Reynolds. Matt Pinfield will host the event.
The rock group star is solidified at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard near the Ameba Music Store.
The Grammy Award-winning band was formed in Berkeley, California in 1986. According to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the breakout album, Dookie, sold over 10 million copies in 1995, earning 10 times the Platinum Diamond Status.
In 2015, Green Day was introduced at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The band’s recognition at Walk of Fame comes after headlined back-to-back weekends at the Coachella Music Festival last month.
