Three people were arrested after breaking into an empty Hollywood Hills home Thursday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to the CPT, the homeowner was not inside the house at the time of the robbery, but the property alarm system immediately alerted LAPD, which deployed officers around 6:03am. Robert Peters.
When responding officers arrive, they still get to see two of the suspicious and suspicious robbers in the house and eventually arrested them.
A third suspect escapes, but with the help of K9 officers, the officer is able to catch up with the man and detain him after a brief struggle. The third suspect was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
All three men were described as in their 20s.
“It’s a very wealthy area and there are many good people,” Peters said, adding that daytime robbers have become more common. “We live in dangerous times, but we do our best to alleviate the robbery issue.”
The suspect had two escape vehicles, including a black Mercedes and a silver Lexus.
They had not stole any valuable property from the house.
It was not immediately clear whether a known public figure owned the home.
