Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., is holding an in-person town hall in Jackson Heights, Queens on Friday night amid speculation that is considering the president’s run in 2028.

After speaking at a May Day protest in New York City on Thursday, he rejected Trump’s agenda, warning that Republicans are “following Medicaid next,” and Ocasio-Cortez returns to New York’s 14th Congressional District to “share updates on work in DC, provide important large-scale updates and ask questions from the audience.”

Ocasio-Cortez is doing jet sets across the United States along with Senator Bernie Sanders on his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour. The campaign confirmed to Fox News Digital that the Friday night town hall was originally scheduled for a parliamentary break in April, but had to be rescheduled because Ocasio-Cortez is sick. She posted an Instagram story two weeks ago, apologizing for the cancellation.

Earlier this week, Ocasio-Cortez did not rule out the president’s aspirations for 2028 when asked about Fox News Digital about a viral video that speculated whether she was soft launching the campaign.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be speaking during the May Day rally in New York City on May 1, 2025, when people gather, march to protest the Trump administration.

“I think what people are most concerned about is the fact that Republicans are trying to cut Medicaid right now, and that people’s health care is at risk. That’s really my central focus,” the New York Democrat said when asked if President Donald Trump was considering a presidential run despite assurances that he wouldn’t cut Medicaid.

“This moment is not about campaigning, elections, politics. It’s about making sure people are protected, there are people trapped to exercise their First Amendment rights. There’s a two-year-old who’s been deported to the cells of Honduras.

The Ocasio-Cortez campaign account posted a video to X last week. This declared these rumors to be “We Are One” by a fourth-term Democrat and a progressive leader in New York City.

“I’m a Bronx girl,” Ocasio-Cortez said on the campaign-style stage in Idaho. “To be welcome here in this state, we all together see our common cause, and this is everything in this country.”

The Americans have reposted the Ocasio-Cortez video beyond the X, pointing to the video as evidence of the president’s ambitions in 2028. “Prepare America. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will almost certainly run for the president in 2028,” political reporter Eric Dorgerty said in response to the video.

Rumors swirling Ocasio-Cortez’s ambitions for higher positions returning to his New York home have found a favour from Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer in a poll at Siena that saw a decline in 39% of New York’s voters from April 14 to 2016.

A longtime New York senator faced a pushback from Democrats in March as he supported a Trump-backed Republican budget bill that sparked rage among Congressional Democrats who had planned to avoid shutdowns and boycott the bill.

Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. , Right, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.Y., will be at the stop of his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour at Dignity Health Arena, a theater in Bakersfield, California, on April 15, 2025.

The rise in disapproval among Democrats is reflected in the polls, and the changing perceptions have seen DNC vice-chair David Hogg as his political arm, the right leader, faced blowback from the DNC, investing $20 million to elect a young Democrat to invest in the Democratic seat.

Ocasio-Cortez has been raked up for a massive $9.6 million over the past three months. The record-breaking fundraiser was one of the biggest ever for Congressmen. The Ocasio-Cortez team emphasized that the funding was from 266,000 individual donors, with an average contribution of just $21.

Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. , Right, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.Y., has confirmed the cheering crowd at the “Combodia Oligarchy” event held in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 12, 2025.

“I can’t fully convey how grateful I am to the millions of people who support us with your time, resources and energy. Your support has enabled us to bring people together on record scales to organize their communities,” Ocasio-Cortez emphasized in a social media post.
