The Ohio Department of Transport reminds drivers what not to do after missing the exit on the highway.
A video released by ODOT on Thursday shows a full stop coming in the middle of Interstate 71 past the exit on the right, with a multicar accident occurring just before 5:30pm on Wednesday.
Several cars pass through both sides of the van. Pass both sides of the van. The van sat in the middle of a three-lane highway with the right turn signal turned on as two vehicles, one grey and one white, stopped behind the van.
A few seconds later, the fourth car drives behind a group of three cars, but fails to stop in time, and it crashes into the back of a white vehicle, spiraling into the grey car.
As traffic on either side of the central lane stalls to avoid a collision, the red vehicle finds an opening on the right and sneaks up to the exit, leaving the scene unharmed.
Do you do you when you’re driving along a major interstate and you’re missing your exit
a) Continue driving and get off at the next one
or
b) Come to a complete stop, cause a multi-car rear end crash, then drive
Tip: The answer is never B. It’s not this driver. pic.twitter.com/pyh85b6icr

“Please don’t become this driver,” Odot warned in a tweet.
