The brewing controversy over “Doge-like” emails at one of America’s top universities has attracted Capitol Hill’s attention.
R-Texas Rep. Troy Nairs wrote a letter to Brown University Friday morning. It urged schools to reconsider the disciplinary action against Alex Sie, who sent an email that reflected Elon Musk’s government efficiency (DOGE) style.
“Reports show that Mr. Shi is engaged in the journalistic behavior of contacting university administrative employees to inquire about their roles and responsibilities, which appears to have led students to experience concerns about substantial tuition fees regarding university facilities and raise questions about the allocation of administrative resources.
