Immigration and Virginia State Police arrested illegal immigrants after being released as a result of a plea deal by the Fairfax County Federal Lawyer’s Office.
According to ICE, where Ramos Guillon is in custody, Guatemala National National Wilmer Osmany Ramos Guillon, 34, faced felony charges in January, including a felony charge, assault on a family member and a felony causing injuries to a Virginia woman.
Ramos Guillon spent just two months at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
The County Attorney’s Office, led by Democrat Steve Descano, has arranged a plea deal to abandon Ramos Guillon’s charges as misdemeanors. According to ABC 7, Ramos Guillon would have faced the bar up to 16 years on felony charges if convicted.

The outlet reported that the county attorney’s office said the plea agreement was what the victim wanted, but the victim said it wasn’t true. Ramos Guillon has been deported twice, but despite being convicted in the federal guns case, he finds a way to return to the United States. However, according to Ice, it is not clear when he returned to the country.
Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s office praised the April 24 arrest.
“It’s unfortunate that Fairfax Commonwealth Lawyers are concerned about protecting dangerous illegal immigrants rather than ensuring the safety of Virginians,” Youngkin spokesperson Peter Finocchio told Fox News Digital in a statement.
“Fortunately, Wilmer Osmany Ramos-Giron will no longer pose a threat to Virginia’s families thanks to his brave federal and state law enforcement heroes.”
According to the Virginia Public Access Project, Descano’s campaign received more than $627,000 from the Judicial and Public Safety PAC between 2019 and 2023. Fox News Digital previously reported that the majority of the Super PAC funds came from liberal billionaire George Soros.

Democrat Fairfax County District Attorney Steve Descano has clear policies on his desire to enforce federal immigration laws and has a history of not observing many ice detainees, ABC 7 reported.
“Wilmer Ramos Guillon represents a major threat to Virginia residents,” said Russell Hot, heading the Washington, D.C. Field Office for Ice Enforcement and Removal Operations.
“He has shown a blatant disregard for our immigration laws and, more importantly, the safety and well-being of our community. He is a violent, recidivist threat to public safety that cannot withstand the ice in Washington, D.C., so that our neighborhoods and victims receive the justice they deserve righteously.”

Descano’s office did not respond to requests for comment.
As ICE continues to crack down on illegal immigration, public safety risks are considered, and state and local laws across the country continue to face surveillance. Last month, California said it would move illegal immigrants to ice custody after the state’s prison system was preparing to release a man convicted of killing two teenagers on DUI manslaughter, which served a 10-year sentence in July.
