A Southern California woman warns the public to notice after the car was stolen by a burglar in a fake tow truck scam.
On April 30th, the theft was arrested at 2am as a male suspect in a pickup truck in front of the victim’s house on Leseda Boulevard, Tarzana.
A wheel lift system was installed on the truck bed. The victim, who has not been identified due to safety concerns, said the vehicle was equipped as a fake foreclosure truck to avoid appearing suspicious to bystanders.

The video shows a man plugged a female black sedan into a truck and then drives straight away.
That morning, when the victim headed to work, she went outside just to find the car disappearing.
She called the police and found that the vehicle was not trapped. She submitted a stolen vehicle report and at 11pm that night, authorities discovered her car had been abandoned on the side of the 101 Expressway near Tampa Avenue.
Her car was taken to the reservoir. When she finally retrieved it, she realized it had been stripped of the part.
“I was crying,” she said. “They stole the batteries, catalytic converters, engine manifolds. They threw the car in the trash and dented it. I couldn’t believe it.”
The worst part, she said, is being forced to pay $400 to cover the water storage fee and towing fee.
She hopes by sharing her story, residents will know and seek suspicious pull scams and drivers wandering the streets.
