There is a new, easy way to win an elusive magical castle invitation

You’ve partyed at most of Hollywood’s hottest clubs, but for many, an invitation to a mysterious magical castle that sat down in Yamashita is still an experience that doesn’t reach, even for long-standing LA residents.

Magic Castle, the headquarters academy of Magical Arts, opened in 1963, is a club exclusively for members of the Victorian mansion, looming on Franklin Avenue. To get inside, you will need to win an invitation. This comes from knowing the members (magicians). However, if you don’t have a magician in your contact, another option is to try your luck, send a message to someone who is planning to perform on the schedule, show interest in their work, and plead with your case. And, apart from learning the art of magic and becoming a magician yourself, the only way is usually to book a night at the adjacent Magic Castle Hotel (unfortunately not at the castle itself).

But next weekend there’s another, easier option for magic lovers. The Magic Castle Live will be held on May 3rd and 4th, and the live performance on stage will be a showcase of hand, spiritualism and fantasy. But despite the name suggests, it doesn’t exist in Magic Castle itself. Instead, the award-winning performers seen on television (American Got Talent, Penn and Terror: Masters of Fools and Fantasy), Broadway and Magic Castle itself bring bags of tricks to the historic United Theatre (formerly theatre of the Ace Hotel) in downtown Broadway.

But what’s the best part? Simply buy tickets for a fun evening at DTLA and you’ll also receive your own invitation to visit Magic Castle. There will be a showtime for the evening at 2:30pm on Saturday and Sunday, at 7:30pm on Saturday, and two matinees showtime. Magic Castle tickets will live runs from $98 on balcony seats to $136 at the front and center. They are not cheap, but cheaper than staying at the Magic Castle hotel.

Once you have won the coveted invitation, you can call the extension at 323-851-3313. 1. Set a reservation. Note that you will need to pay the door fee ($40-$45 in the evening, $25 for brunch on the weekend), food and drinks (there are a minimum of one entry on the weekend and there is a brunch buffet for $75), but the access itself is valuable in Angeleno currency.

Once the big night arrives, make sure you are properly dressed. The magical castle is notorious for its strict evening dress code. That means there are no denim, sneakers or sandals. Here you can make sure your outfit follows all the rules. You can also take photos in the lobby filled with bookshelves, but to maintain the mystery, photos will not be allowed once you enter a secret space.
