President Donald Trump said Monday that he made a “productive” call with Turkish President Recep Erdogan on a variety of topics, including the Russian-Ukraine war.
Trump shared details about Cole in a post about his true social platform.
“I just had a very good and productive telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Erdogan on many subjects, including the war with Russia/Ukraine, Syria, Gaza and more,” Trump wrote.
The president added that he is looking forward to working with Erdogan to end the “silly but deadly” Russian-Ukraine war.

Gaza was also a major issue for the Trump administration as Israel works to regain hostages after Hamas led a deadly attack on October 7, 2023. As the battle in Gaza escalated, Trump said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “seemed to be good for Gaza.”
Trump said his relationship with Erdogan during his first term was “excellent,” adding that the Turkish leader has invited him to Turkey in the future. Trump said Erdogan would also visit Washington, D.C., but no dates were provided immediately.
