House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries denounced President Donald Trump, discussing the recent upheaval at Newar Liberty International Airport, saying he “decimates the FAA.”
At a press conference Monday, Jeffries asked reporters questions about the recent delays at Newark Airport.
“Well, that’s certainly what I think we’re all invested in research because it relates to the ability of Americans to travel in an efficient way,” Democrats began before turning their attention to Trump.
“We know that the Trump administration has destroyed the FAA in many ways, and they’ve done this from the start,” he added. “They are defeating the federal government.”
Trump has announced 100% tariffs on all diplomatic production films. “We want a movie made in America!”

Jeffries added that the Trump administration is “beating the FAA.”
“And we still can’t see if any particular situation at Newark Airport has anything to do with it,” he continued.
“However, it is my hope that the Transport and Infrastructure Committee will investigate this situation and we should get some answers to understand how to change that.”

The meeting took place a few days after major delays and cancellations began at New Jersey Airport.
On Thursday, more than 500 flights in and out of Newark were delayed, with at least 200 people cancelled, and chaos continued throughout the weekend. As of Monday afternoon, flights 172 had been delayed and flights 76 had been cancelled on Monday.
Transport Secretary Sean Duffy denounced the poor technology situation in Friday’s X-Post.

“The technology we use is old, and that’s what causes the outages and delays we see in Newark,” Duffy writes.
