Police are investigating disturbing finds their parents made at a popular dance studio in Hermosa Beach over the weekend.
He was convened at the Harmosa School of Dance and Music in the 1100 block of Aviation Boulevard around 9:30am on Saturday after a hidden camera was found inside the school’s unisex bathroom.
It is unclear how long the cameras have been around, but they were quickly removed from the toilet. This is for use by staff, parents and students, Hermosa Beach Police Department said in a news release.
Liliana Somma, who has owned the dance school for over 25 years, said she was shocked and heartbroken by the discovery. Somma said she worked with the police to find out who was responsible and hired the company to do a studio sweeping.
Dance and Music Hermosa School will be available on May 5, 2025. (KTLA)
“I have installed devices that pick up cameras. My mother can buy them and bring them in in the fitting room even when they go to the mall.
Police have not arrested or identified suspects in dance school cases where students are between the ages of 2 and 18.
“HBPD detectives are actively investigating all available leads to identify and retain liability for the person responsible for this disturbing behavior,” police said.
Anyone with information was asked to contact the police station at 310-318-0360.
